Jake Simkin is a Melbourne‑based shooter/producer with 15 years of global experience, from humanitarian missions across Africa and the Middle East to conflict zones in Syria and Iraq. He began his career with Dork Films in music video production and later served as a UN, ICRC, and NGO communications director.
He’s served as Communications Director for the UN and ICRC, travelled across Syria and Iraq as a photojournalist, and produced the Netflix‑aired series The Fighting Season. Now home in Australia, he applies that global pedigree to crafting content for NGOs, brands and books, while still finding time to tinker with motorbikes or hit the hiking trails.
